Our School

Caring for our community and its children

We are a Christian preschool on Madison’s West Side, serving children ages 3-5.

We offer classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Parents are given the choice to determine which days they would like their child to attend. Call Andrea Troia at (608) 238-5656  x109 to see what days are still open.

Our Purpose ...

... to provide a rich, loving environment that offers a positive child development program which includes these areas:

Nurtures a positive feeling of love and trust in God as Creator and Father and Jesus as their Friend and Savior. Also develops the concept of loving and forgiving their neighbors.

Stimulates interest in exploring and learning through the use of the five senses and various activities.  Also, sets the groundwork for a positive attitude towards learning.

Increase the child’s ability to cooperate, plan and interact with peers and also foster a feeling of respect for others and their property.

Improves gross and fine muscle coordination, develops body awareness and control through indoor and outdoor activities.

Reinforces a positive attitude of self-worth, self-confidence and self-discipline.

The learning experiences from these areas will assist each child in developing his/her abilities and the feeling that he/she is a special, worthwhile child.

Preschool Staff

We are excited to introduce Andrea Troia, our Preschool Director. With a bachelor’s degree in both regular and special education, Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our preschool community. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in both teaching and childcare, developing a deep passion for supporting the growth and development of young children. She understands the importance of nurturing every child’s unique needs and works diligently to create an environment where all children can thrive—socially, emotionally, and academically.

In addition to Andrea’s professional experience, she is an active member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, where they have fostered a strong sense of community and faith. Her dedication to Christian values is evident in her approach to education, as they seek to incorporate teachings of love, kindness, and respect into every aspect of the preschool experience.

We are thrilled to introduce Kathy Germanotta, our Teacher’s Assistant who has been with Mount Olive Lutheran Church since 2012. With a strong passion for working with young children, Kathy brings a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication to our classroom. She has experience in supporting children’s growth and development, offering individualized attention to ensure every child feels seen, valued, and supported in their learning journey.

Kathy is committed to creating a positive, nurturing environment that enhances the teaching experience and fosters a love for learning. With a collaborative spirit, she works closely with our lead teachers to implement effective classroom activities, manage daily routines, and provide additional support to students as needed. We are confident that her caring nature and passion for education will contribute greatly to the success of our students and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in our preschool.

We are blessed to have Pastor Torkelson actively participate in our chapel services twice a month.  He brings both wisdom and warmth to our chapel time. Through engaging Bible stories, prayer, and thoughtful messages.
